Thu, November 5, 2009 - 1:12 PMIt think it makes some good points. Most of us fall into shouting at some point. We're all human after all but it is good to remember that sometimes shouting can be just as violent as spanking. And I always think it is good for us parents to hear that other parents fall into some of the same traps and habits. It is all a learning process. -

It is all learning.
Admittedly, I've raised the roof too many times in frustration. I've worked really hard to not go there -- it is sheer frustration, or embarassment, and often other daily issues that raise the boiling point.
It is good to know that others fall into the same trap. And good to know that we don't have to fall for it. I was a bit concerned reading this, that it might be another good reason for parents to feel shame or guilt over things that every parent does. That's not helpful either.
