I went to the site but there is or was a problem with the survey software or somewhere in the computer system and no button to send the results.

I coslept for ten years and my 13 wyar old stilloccasioanllyfalls asleepin or on my bed whenI;lm there.

SIDS and co-sleeping ,what a joke...my impression is that most SIDS deaths happen anywhere BUT a shared bed!!!medical anthropologist James McKenna says with some good science to support it that babies LEARN to regulate their breathing from close proximity to a breathing parent, usually the mother though can be either or both or another relative, makes total sense.

I'm a light sleeper anyway, which is good preparation for parenting though not always easy for the rest of trying to live relatively rested and sane in a noisy society, and the instant something was the matter with my baby I'd know it if she were sleeping next to me. i personally don't believe that those old Biblical accounts of the baby who died from"overlying" were cases of SIDS in shared bed, anyway.

who the hell is spearheading a movement to call co-sleeping "neglect?" jeezelouise, you spend every minute of your llfe, waking and sleeping, taking care of your baby and that's neglect? neglect is NOT checking on the baby when she isin another room, and finding her dead! ot;s not sleeping next to the baby and nursing or comforting or dealing wth emergencies when they arise...

let me know if the link is fixed. and how to contact these whacked-out accusers...god they piss me off.

my child is not just healthy, she just earned a generous scholarship to a perogressive(but costly) independent high school. don;t anyone try to tell me my parenting strategy is a form of neglect...

last time this came up,the manufacturer's association for juvenile products was giving major money to the med associations...conflict of interest??? you think???

    fatchansky...

I took it yesterday and it worked. must be a temporary problem, check again later.

I assume that it's the same "Usual Suspects" some organization with an innocuous name that turns out to be a major crib manufacturing organization. That's who it's been in the past.

          Done

Thsi is the comment I put in...

"Sometimes my daughter sleeps on her own and sometimes we share a bed. Some nights it is the only way we sleep well because of growing pains, teething, etc. My daughter was very premature and sleeping with her at the beginning allowed me to feel safe and know that she wasn't having apnea or wasn't getting too cold. It is known that skin to skin contact for premature babies helps them grow, eat and be healthy. I attribute our many hours spent skin to skin as allowing her to grow and be healthy and not have any complications from her premature birth."

thanks, jessica ... i'm glad to be counted among like-minded parents who follow their natural instincts.

keep us updated to any developments arising from the survey.
